We as acounty are about to witness the formation of the new "Charter Government".  The election of the County Executive could be the revision of a new political system.  However ,this should not be founded pitting the incorporated towns and cities against unincorporated Jefferson county.  Remember in the long and tedious process to bring in the "charter", all the proponents said there would be no increases in taxes, we are waiting to see the change as the jerrymandered districts vote on tax increases for areas they do not represent.  As a county we should be vigilant to preserve what we have in resources.  As the vote affirmed the new system, now we must give it a definition and form.  Let us not be hasty and overbearing.
